Gibdos are mummified humans brought back to life by unknown forces. In some appearances, Link can burn away their bandages to reveal a different variety of enemy, such as a stal creature or a ReDead.

  • Shrieking
  • Stunning
  • Grabbing and strangling/biting it's victim
  • Walking into Link

The Legend of ZeldaEdit

They slowly moved across the screen trying to run into Link. They appeared in The Graveyard Dungeon

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link to the PastEdit

Similar to their previous appearance, they wandered across the screen but at a somewhat faster pace. They appeared in the Skull woods and were weakest against the fire rod, which killed them in an instant

The Legend Of Zelda: Link's AwakeningEdit

They once again wandered across the screen, attempting to run into Link. A notable part of these Gibdos is that they do not flinch or "stop" from sword damage, making it wise to attack them from the side

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeEdit

These Gibdos, mimicking Redeads stayed in one place until catching sight of Link, at which point they Let out a horrifying shriek which briefly paralyzed Link. If they manage to reach him, they would grab him and strangle or bite him.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's MaskEdit

Almost identical to their Ocarina of Time appearance with two exceptions-The Speak to whoever wears the Gibdo mask, and if exposed to fire, their bandages burn and reveal a ReDead.

The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/SeasonsEdit

Identical to their Link's Awakening appearance, yet the sword actually does slow them down.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish CapEdit

In The Minish Cap, Gibdos still remain as bandaged monsters. They have blue eyes, and are rather bigger than their other counterparts. They attack by walking up to Link and trapping him under their arms, slowly strangling/crushing him. When hit with fire, their bandages burn off to reveal a Stalfos.
